About me

Hi, I'm Chris, nice to meet you! I spend as much time as possible in the mountains in the short-but-sweet PNW hiking season, and a lot of the rest of the year editing photos and planning the next year's adventures.

I've been a photographer as long as I can remember – the 4 megapixel Canon something-or-other I got for Christmas in 2002 was the first digital camera anyone in my family owned, and I was one of those kids who would bring a point-and-shoot camera on high school band trips just in case something caught my eye.

But while my homeland of central NY is beautiful in a cozy way, the landscapes of the PNW are on a different level. Seeing the mountains and exploring some baby trails on a trip to visit friends in Portland in the mid-2010s convinced me I had to make a move to the other coast. I've lived here ever since, and after 10+ years of making my way into the mountains, there's still about as much on my to-do list as there is on my "already done" list.

Not a bad view!
